Educational Support and Services Offered at NEKLS
Following our mission to inspire and empower learners from birth and beyond, at Northeast Kingdom Learning Services we are dedicated to providing educational support by looking at all aspects of a learning life, including that of a youth and their families.
Through historic and innovative programming, NEKLS has positioned itself as a leader in the Northeast Kingdom not only supporting employees and their families as one of Vermont Business Magazine’s Best Places to Work in 2018, but also through our community focused efforts at Ready…Set…Grow Childcare, Children’s Integrated Services and our Kindergarten through 12 Tutorial program, found in any one of our five community learning centers.
We also pride ourselves on working in collaboration with community partners. At Ready…Set…Grow Childcare we share a space with the Northeast Community Action Early Childhood Head Start program and in the near future are thrilled to partner with Vermont Children’s Museum. In the districts of Newport and Stay Johnsbury, we offer referrals as well as direct services to youth up to age 5.
And, by partnering with area schools we ensure that Kindergarten through grade 12 students have what they need to succeed. By being an organization that fully services the youth and families of the Northeast Kingdom, spanning Orleans, Essex and Caledonia Counties, we are investing in the future of our area – our people.
