Northeast Kingdom Learning Services, Inc (NEKLS) began as an adult tutoring center in the mid 1960’s created by local visionary Eva Warner.
The organization has grown over the years from its humble beginnings of providing tutoring to adults for GED and basic skills to its now impressive array of programs that serve men, women, children and families throughout the tri-county region known as the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
It is the mission of NEKLS, Inc. to inspire and empower learners, birth and beyond, and it is our vision to help shape a community of lifelong learners that reach their full potential.
We deliver learning services at five different community learning centers located in Canaan, Island Pond, Newport, Hardwick and St. Johnsbury as well as in homes, libraries, K-12 schools, colleges, childcare enters, and businesses.
